My name is Debrah Irontwat. Some of you may know me as the woman who stood up to the patriarchal forces over at the White House. Others may recall my posts on Wattpad. Or my catcalling video, in which I both fought racism while shaming black men for the color of their skin.
Well, today I have been asked to pen a piece for Kotawker. And now here I am. And why am I here? Put simply, I have come to make an ardent plea. Ladies—it is time we fought back.
Recently, something happened. It was a tragedy of unspeakable proportions. It was the sort of thing that sends shivers down my femi-spine. For years, I have been predicting that the manimals would only get worse as we continued to allow them to live in peace. And today, I have the misfortune of telling you: I was right. Today, you will see full well that the world we live in is sexist misogynistic, transphobic, societal ingrained prejudice, classism, racism, sexism…blah blah blah patriarchy…blah blah blah Jane Austen…blah blah blah rape!
In other words, a man complimented a woman on the internet.
I will now pause a moment in order to allow the women readers to enter a safe space. Be advised: the rest of this piece contains a trigger warning for unspeakable acts of violence against women, which I learned in my gender studies class is any time a manimal scumbag speaks to one of us.
So, where was I? Oh, yes.
A disgusting, filthy, sexist beast by the name of Alexander Carter-Silk received a message from superhero feminist activist Charlotte Proudman (which shall be henceforth spelled Proud*** as her name is problematic and triggering).
Miss Proud*** made contact on LinkedIn with Mr. Alexander “I am an atrocious chauvinist pig” Carter-Silk. Clearly, she was looking to do business with him, which in my feminist certified opinion is a mistake in and of itself, as all men are rapists and the ones who aren’t are still rapists because of patriarchy + reasons + magic.
So, this noble, heroic woman made contact with him on this website, and do you even know what this manimal filth did? DO YOU?
I’ll tell you what he did.
He responded and said…he said…he said she was pretty!
Is everyone okay? Oh, shoot. I knew I should’ve put a disclaimer at the top of this article recommending that only level 50+ femiwizards should read this. If anyone has passed out, then I apologize for having triggered you. I was once triggered into the shadow realm after a man held the door for me, so of all people, I understand.
Where was I?
Yes. This insidious, abominable creature had the audacity to make a comment about her looks, complimenting them, which as a licensed Gender Studies Professional, I can assure you is the same as rape.
And so, Miss Proud***, doing the responsible, appropriate thing, decided to let this whole thing go. In other words, she settled at doing nothing more than the obligatory response educating the uncivilized beast about misogyny followed by a light public-shaming on Twitter. You know, just the standard feminist-form response, nothing special. You know. Minor career sabotage, a touch of humiliation, doxing his daughter’s Facebook. Really, really minor stuff, as Miss Proud*** is a merciful womyn. Certainly, she let him off easy, as what she did was far less than this horrific subhuman manimal deserved.
But rather than acknowledge his grievous act of misogyny and put together an apology tour, a public donation to her patreon account, and offer a series of affectionate kisses on her derriere, this sadistic rapist-in-training apologized only one time. Yes, you read that correctly. He only apologized one time for calling her pretty.
Hear me, my woman-warriors. The time has come. We must fight back. We must shame the sexists. We must take to the streets, rip off our bras, free our breasts, and jump through rings of fire while shoving coconuts up our assholes. It’s the only way to fight back against this sexism.
